Non-Discrimination and Inclusion Statement
Our Commitment
Tandem Coaching Academy is the coach education division of Tandem Coaching Partners, LLC (“Tandem”). Tandem welcomes learners from every background and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, pregnancy, marital or family status, veteran or military status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
This applies to admission and enrollment, instruction, mentor coaching, assessment, certification, and the selection of faculty, mentor coaches, and contractors.
Inclusive Learning and Fair Assessment
- Tandem’s programs are designed for learners who coach in many cultures, industries, and languages, and use examples that reflect that range.
- Assessors evaluate coaching against the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) published competency standards and ICF’s guidance on bias awareness in evaluation. A learner’s accent, appearance, recording setting, or background is not part of an assessment.
- Faculty, mentor coaches, and learners are expected to treat one another with respect. Discrimination and harassment are grounds for action under the conduct rules in Tandem’s Additional Terms and Conditions.
Disability and Accommodations
Tandem provides reasonable accommodations to learners with disabilities.
- How to ask. Email info@tandemcoach.co, ideally at least 10 Business Days before Program Start, describing what you need. Tandem may ask for reasonable documentation.
- Examples. Captions or transcripts, extra time for written work, materials in another format, scheduled breaks, or access to class recordings for review.
- Limits. An accommodation will not lower competency standards, change what an assessment measures, or remove a requirement that ICF sets for the program. For example, ICF counts only real-time participation toward a program’s live hours, so a recording can support review but cannot replace a live session.
- Confidentiality. Information about a disability is shared only with the people who need it to provide the accommodation.
The Accessibility Statement covers the accessibility of Tandem’s website.
A Business Day is Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays, as defined in the Additional Terms and Conditions.
Language
Each program is taught and assessed in the language stated on its program page. Learners need enough fluency in that language to take part in coaching practice and to be assessed. Tandem does not provide interpretation unless the program page says so.
Legal Requirements
Tandem follows trade-sanctions laws and the rules of its payment providers. These may prevent Tandem from enrolling people in certain countries or regions, or people named on government lists. Decisions required by law are not discrimination under this statement.
Raising a Concern
Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly can raise it under Tandem’s Complaint and Grievance Policy. Tandem will not retaliate against anyone for raising a concern in good faith.
This statement describes Tandem’s commitments. It does not create rights beyond those in Tandem’s Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
