ICF PCC & ACTC - ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching
With Cherie Silas, MCC, CEC
Elevate your coaching expertise with our premier ICF Accredited LeveI 2 and AATC programs.
Designed for ambitious coaches aiming for global recognition and mastery in both individual and team coaching domains.
Start leading the coaching industry with unparalleled skills and credentials.
ICF Team Coaching is all about helping teams work better together. Think of it like a coach for a sports team but for a group at work or in a project.
The idea is to get everyone on the team to use their skills and knowledge to reach their goals.
Instead of focusing on just one person, team coaching helps the entire group, as a single entity, improve how they collaborate, solve problems, and achieve great results.
ICF Team Coaching Certification Process
The process of becoming ICF-Accredited in Team Coaching involves several critical steps designed to ensure coaches are well-prepared to guide teams effectively. The first provision is that you need to have an ICF credential before you start, so you have to be an ACC, PCC or MCC certified coach.
Here at Tandem Coaching, we offer you to do your PCC credentialing and the ACTC certification together.
The Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC) follows the below steps:
Start by completing an ICF-accredited team coaching program with at least 60 contact hours of Team Coach Training. Half of these hours should be synchronous, meaning real-time interactions like live instruction and discussions. The other half can be asynchronous, such as self-study or pre-recorded materials. The training will cover the ICF Team Coaching Competencies, Core Competencies, and Code of Ethics.
Participants must prove that they have had at least five team coaching engagements in the five years prior to creating the application. If the team coached included more than 15 members, the coach must have a co-coach.
Complete a minimum of five hours of coaching supervision. This is where you work with a coaching supervisor to reflect on and improve your coaching practice. The supervision can be one-on-one or in a group setting and should focus on your team coaching practice, though it can also include other areas of coaching.
Finally, you need to achieve a passing score in the ICF Team Coaching Certification Exam. This certification process ensures that you have the necessary skills, experience, and knowledge to coach teams effectively, making you a trusted and credible professional in the field of team coaching.
