What Do You Get From an ICF Accredited ACC Coach Training Program?
An ICF-accredited ACC training program provides a comprehensive coaching education aligned with the standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
Here’s what you can expect:
Fundamental Coaching Skills
Master essential techniques to build a robust coaching foundation. As this is the first level of accreditation, the focus is on basic skills, such as how to open and close a coaching session properly, set the intention for the session with the client, and ask the right questions during the coaching process.
Ethical Standards
Learn to stick to the ICF’s ethical guidelines, ensuring integrity in every coaching interaction. Become aware of potential conflicts of interest or red flags that indicate that you shouldn’t work with a particular client.
Mentor Coaching
Get guidance from experienced mentors to refine your coaching methods. Coaching skills need to be refined over time. That’s where your mentor comes in. They help you see some of your weak spots and build on your strengths.
Peer Learning
Engage with fellow aspiring ACC coaches, sharing experiences and insights. It’s always good to talk to others in a similar situation. You can learn a lot from each other and get the answers to questions you hadn’t even thought of yet.
Practical Experience
Gain hands-on coaching practice to boost your confidence and competence. There is no replacement for practice. You need to work directly with clients to see what challenges arise for you and learn how to navigate them.
Continuous Feedback
Receive constructive feedback from mentors and peers to improve your coaching style and skills. Feedback helps you to recognize patterns or blind spots that you wouldn’t notice yourself. It also increases your self-awareness and potential for growth.
