Work Experience Reflection

Reflection & Journaling Tools

Measure how much of your work time is spent in enjoyment,
neutrality, or difficult or unwanted work experience - then identify what drives each.

Where This Tool Helps

Work experiences can vary across tasks, relationships, access, health, role, power, and time. A percentage, word, or blank can be used as personal shorthand. The percentage fields are optional personal shorthand, not objective measurement, and may be replaced with words or left blank.

The two open fields that follow - what contributes to enjoyment, what contributes to difficult or unwanted work experience - are where the real information lives. Entries may differ by context and do not establish a reliable pattern, context, or relationship pattern appears in both directions. Discuss only what the client chooses in a coaching conversation.

The action planning section at the bottom offers space for optional questions or next steps. Dates and actions are optional and may be revised or left blank, not just name the intention.

How to Use This Audit

  1. Use percentages, words, or no rating, before reading ahead. Assign a rough percentage of your current work time to each state: client-defined work-experience labels. The three should add up to 100%.
  2. In the open fields, describe what specifically contributes to each end of the spectrum. Aim for concrete situations - not "meetings" but "status meetings with no decisions made."
  3. Review your answers and note any context or uncertainty you want to discuss. These become your key observations.
  4. Write one action per key observation and assign a realistic deadline. Be specific: "I will block Tuesday mornings for deep work" rather than "I will manage my time better."

Choice and Support Boundary

Optional coaching reflection - not therapy, diagnosis, medical care, legal advice, or a validated assessment. Skip, adapt, or stop. Do not infer causes, conditions, traits, motives, or required responses. Use qualified or emergency support for unsafe, severe, or out-of-scope concerns.
