Two-Month
Vision

GOAL SETTING TOOLS

Map your near-term aspirations across every dimension of your life.

About This Tool

Two months is a useful planning horizon. Close enough to feel real, far enough to allow genuine change. Most people default to either daily task lists or vague five-year visions - the two-month window sits in the space between, where intention meets momentum.

The six domains in this tool - intellectual, health, career, spiritual, relationships, and finances - each pull on different parts of your life. Most clients find two or three easy to fill in and two or three that sit blank. The blank ones are worth more attention than the full ones. Where you hesitate is usually where the real conversation is.

Start from what you actually want, not what sounds reasonable. The framing at the top asks you to set aside obstacles. Take that seriously. Write the vision first, then deal with the obstacles. Reversing that order - writing what seems achievable rather than what you want - produces a weaker picture.

How to Use This Worksheet

  1. Read all six domain labels before writing anything. Notice which ones feel immediately clear and which produce resistance.
  2. Fill in the center bar first: complete the sentence "In 2 months, I will..." as a single headline statement.
  3. Work through each domain in order. For each, write a specific outcome - not a value or intention, but something you could observe or measure.
  4. Return to any blank or vague domains. If you wrote something safe, ask yourself: what would I write if I knew this was possible?
  5. Look at the full picture. Does the vision across all six domains feel coherent? Where does one domain's vision create tension with another?

Reflection Prompts

Which domain produced the most resistance when you tried to write something specific? What does that tell you about where your attention needs to go? What is the smallest action you could take this week toward the vision in that domain?
