Mindset & Growth Tools
Name your limiting patterns and choose a deliberate strategy
for each one - so they stop choosing for you.
The instinct with weaknesses is to work harder on them. That is sometimes the right response - but only sometimes. There are five distinct strategies for dealing with a limitation, and "develop it into a strength" is just one of them. Delegation, compensation, partnership, and acceptance are equally valid and frequently more efficient.
What this tool surfaces is the mismatch between strategy and situation. Most people apply the same default approach to every limitation - usually either avoidance or brute-force improvement - without examining whether that strategy fits. A weakness in public speaking might warrant development. A weakness in financial modeling might warrant delegation. Applying development effort to the latter is a poor use of time.
The five strategies at the top of this worksheet are not a ranking. They are a menu. The steps below help you match strategy to weakness deliberately.

Which limitation on this list are you spending the most energy trying to fix - and is "develop it" actually the right strategy for that one? What would change if you chose differently?
