REFLECTION & JOURNALING TOOLS

A structured review of eight life domains to surface
where energy is flowing and where it is not.

The Value of Cross-Domain Reflection

Most people conduct their reflection in silos - career performance here, relationships there, health somewhere else. The problem with that approach is that the domains are not actually separate. A sustained drop in energy at work is often traceable to something off in sleep, relationships, or a lack of meaningful activity outside the job. The solution appears in a different domain than the symptom.

This worksheet invites a review across eight areas of life at the same time. The purpose is not to optimize all eight simultaneously - that is neither possible nor useful. The purpose is to see the full picture clearly enough to know where your attention is most needed right now, and to notice the connections between areas that are usually examined in isolation.

How to Use This Worksheet

  1. Write freely in each area. These prompts are starting points. Follow what is actually true for you, not what seems like the right answer.
  2. Note your energy level in each domain - not just what is happening, but how engaged and alive you feel in that area right now.
  3. Look for connections. After completing all eight, read across them. Which areas are draining the others? Which area, if improved, would lift the most others?
  4. Identify the one or two areas that deserve attention first - not the areas in the worst shape, but the ones where a change would create the most positive movement across the whole picture.
