Coaching Session Reflection

Communication & Relationships Tools

Capture your between-session thinking and arrive
at each coaching conversation with clarity.

Where This Tool Helps

What happens between coaching sessions often matters as much as what happens in them. Insights surface, situations shift, and the questions that felt resolved in the moment sometimes look different a few days later. This reflection sheet creates a structured space to capture that thinking before it dissipates.

The format supports short, focused responses - enough to crystallize what is present, not so much that it becomes another task. Your coach will provide the questions; the sheet provides the structure. The combination turns preparation from a good intention into a habit.

How to Use This Sheet

  1. Use this sheet in the 24-48 hours before your session, not as a last-minute exercise.
  2. Answer each question your coach provides in two to three sentences. Write what is actually true right now, not what you think sounds most productive or insightful.
  3. Look across all four responses before your session. Note any theme or tension that appears more than once - that pattern often becomes the most productive place to start.
  4. Bring the sheet to your session as a reference point. The questions that feel hardest to answer concisely are usually the ones worth the most conversation time.
