Assessment & Discovery Tools
Rate satisfaction across eight life areas to identify
where gaps exist and where to focus your energy.
The Wheel of Life works because it puts all eight domains on the page at once. Most people track one or two areas closely - career, finances, health - while the others drift. This tool forces a simultaneous look at everything, which is when the imbalances that have been easy to ignore become visible.
The number that surprises people is rarely the obvious one. It is the area that felt "fine" - relationships, personal growth, recreation - that turns out to be running on empty. The rating makes the invisible visible before it becomes a crisis.
What tends to go wrong: people rate the areas where they spend the most time highest, rather than rating actual satisfaction. Busy is not the same as fulfilled. Score each area based on how satisfied you feel, not how much energy you put in.
The steps below are designed to surface the gaps that are easiest to rationalize away - and to connect what you see to what you want to do next.
For each area: circle your current satisfaction (1-10), then mark your desired level with a star. Note one thing that would raise your score.
Look across your eight scores. Where are the biggest gaps between current and desired? Which areas, if improved, would raise satisfaction across multiple domains?
What is one concrete action you could take in the next two weeks that would move the needle in your top priority area?
Look at the two areas you scored highest. Are those high scores sustainable, or have they come at a cost to the lower-scoring areas? What trade-offs have you been accepting without deciding to?
