10 Questions for Clarity

Reflection & Journaling Tools

Ten questions that surface what you already know but haven't said aloud.

About This Tool

Ambiguity in leadership is rarely a lack of information — it's usually a gap between what you know and what you're acting on. These ten questions are designed to close that gap. They don't ask for analysis. They ask you to name what's actually there: the avoidance, the untested assumption, the belief that's adding friction, the decision you've been postponing.

Work through the questions in a single sitting. Some will feel easy. Others will stop you. The ones that stop you are the ones worth staying with. The closing section asks you to identify which question carried the most weight — that's often where the productive tension lives.

How to Use This Tool

  1. Find a quiet 20 minutes. This works best without interruptions.
  2. Answer each question in writing. Writing forces precision that internal reflection often avoids.
  3. Don't skip questions that seem irrelevant — answer them briefly and keep moving.
  4. When you're done, complete the closing reflection before reviewing your answers.
  5. Bring the completed tool to your next session, or use it to prepare a topic you want to explore.
